ClwydAlyn, is delighted to announce the unveiling of its show apartment at Neuadd Maldwyn, in Welshpool, an independent living scheme for older people. Neuadd Maldwyn is a neo-Georgian Grade II listed building, which has been sympathetically converted while retaining a wealth of its original features.
The level of interest from potential residents has been truly impressive, with more than 100 expressions of interest already registered in the scheme.
People who successfully completed an application form, or indicated their desire to be part of this thriving community through an expression of interest, were invited to view the show apartment first, starting from the 2nd October. Enabling ClwydAlyn to provide a tailored experience to each visitor and allowing them the time to ask any questions. Now, the show apartment is open to others who would like to consider Neuadd Maldwyn as their home. They can book an appointment to see the show apartment by calling 0800 183 575.
The independent living scheme currently under construction includes 66 one- and two-bedroom high quality apartments for people aged 60 years and over, with an assessed care and support need. The scheme will include communal facilities for events and activities, a restaurant, onsite parking, and landscaped gardens. Priority will be given to residents in the Powys area or those who have close connections to the Powys area.
Neuadd Maldwyn is being built by Anwyl Partnerships on behalf of ClwydAlyn and in partnership with Powys County Council, Powys Teaching Health Board and the Welsh Government.
