ClwydAlyn, a North Wales housing association, has appointed two new executive directors to its leadership team to support the organisation’s mission to beat poverty in the region.
Sian Williams has joined the organisation as Executive Director of People, Culture and Communications. She will lead organisational development and culture priorities to promote staff wellbeing and delivery of excellent services to customers through ClwydAlyn’s values of trust, hope and kindness. She will also be responsible for people and communications functions.
Sian joined ClwydAlyn from a Leisure and Libraries Social Enterprise operating in Flintshire, where she was part of the Executive Leadership Team since its inception in 2017. Prior to this she worked in Local Government. Her areas of expertise include operations, leadership, human resources, learning and development and organisational design.
With passions centred around improving lives and addressing health inequalities, Sian is an experienced non-executive director, having previously been a board member and vice chair of a North Wales housing association. She recently joined the board of Well Fed, a social good business based in North Wales with an aim to ‘feed everyone well’ regardless of income.
Sandy Murray has taken up the role of Executive Director of Resources, leading the finance, governance, procurement, IT and business intelligence functions.
Appointed in October, Sandy has worked across a variety of finance and leadership roles in the commercial and charitable sectors, including roles within housing. She is an experienced non-executive director with a strong social purpose. Her skills extend across finance, analysis, HR, data, IT and leadership. She is currently the Vice-Chair of the Riverside Group and Chair of their Governance and Remuneration Committee.
“I am excited to be part of a highly motivated team focused on championing social justice and long-term change.”
