Working at ClwydAlyn has enabled me to progress over a number of years into new roles. I have met new people and teams, gained experience in different departments and completed many qualifications and training opportunities.
I initially joined ClwydAlyn as a catering assistant in one of our extra care schemes in Shotton. After two years, I secured an apprenticeship at head office in Business Administration and gained experience in finance, governance, communication and marketing and HR. I was also supported to attain a Level 2 Business Admin qualification.
On completion of my apprenticeship, I applied for a role in maintenance and became the Maintenance Co-ordinator for the Responsive and Voids team for 3 years.
I then progressed to my current role of Grant Funding and Social Value Co-ordinator. This involves working with senior managers and staff to identify opportunities for grant funding and supporting them with the measurement of funding impact and outcomes. I also manage a team of social value champions.
