North Wales Housing Association ClwydAlyn has released its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report. The report covers the scale of activity across the three ESG themes, and shows a firm commitment to sustainable practices, ethical business conduct and community wellbeing.
The report outlines ClwydAlyn’s commitment to building and creating energy efficient homes and ethical supply chains. ClwydAlyn is also committed to making homes affordable; with a focus on the wellbeing of the people who live in them and the communities they’re a part of.
It emphasises ClwydAlyn’s commitment to fostering diverse and vibrant communities through inclusive housing policies, which ensure fair and equal access to homes and a proactive approach to placemaking. The report highlights a focus on digital inclusion to help people at risk of being digitally excluded to be connected so they can meet their basic needs, such as applying for Universal Credit and other benefits, as well as supporting them in their journey towards volunteering, training and work.”
Clare Budden, Chief Executive of ClwydAlyn said: “Our commitment to sustainability, social impact and good corporate governance is deeply rooted in our values and mission, to beat poverty. We put our people and communities at the heart of what we do. The ESG report shows our continuous efforts to not just build energy-efficient, quality, and affordable homes, but our commitment to contributing positively to the environment and the communities we serve.”
Against the growing need to prioritise sustainability and social responsibility, the publication of this ESG report by ClwydAlyn is expected to resonate with residents, tenants, partners, stakeholders, and the Welsh Government.
